Paragliding Course and Training
Take to the skies on your own! If you’ve ever dreamed of flying like a bird, this is your chance to make that dream come true.
Become internationally certified by APPI through our 40+ hour paragliding course. Paragliding Medellin is the pioneer of paragliding in Colombia. We have been flying since 1992 and have developed a comprehensive course plan that allows you to learn the thrill of flight following the highest safety standards. Learn a new skill while taking in the breathtaking green mountains of the Aburra Valley – there’s no better place to learn!
You will receive an Association of Paragliding Pilots and Instructor (APPI) Adventure Pilot Certification upon the completion of this course. We are registered with APPI as school #83 and our APPI license number is 11336.
At the end of this course, pilots should be able to safely and confidently take-off, fly, and land using a paraglider. If all course requirements are completed, pilots will be certified internationally as paragliders. Your safety is our priority at all times.
We accept up to 4 students per course. The instructor and student(s) will agree on a training schedule prior to beginning training. Please note that weather conditions may impact training schedules. We will do our best to accommodate to your schedule so you can take flight independently. If you are interested in taking an intensive course, please contact us for more information.
The course costs USD $ 1,600 to achieve an International APPI certification. We accept payments in cash only, either in Colombian pesos or in US Dollars. Unfortunately, we do not accept checks, travelers checks, or credit cards.
Students must pay a 50% non-refundable cash deposit on the first day of the course to secure their registration. Upon completion of the course, the student must pay the other 50% of the course fee. The course must be paid in full prior to receiving a certification.
