Pre-Flight preparations
Identification
Flight preparations begin at the office, please do not forget to bring your original passport, or ID (if you are not Colombian citizen); the police might require it. We can keep all important items safe during your flight. The take off ramp is located up a short hill from our office in San Félix.
Protection Elements
Your pilot will provide you with a helmet and harness, and help you adjust them so that they are properly equipped. We will instruct you on how to run when it´s time for takeoff, how to sit comfortably in your harness, and how to prepare yourself for landing. When you are prepared, an assistant will help you and your pilot take off smoothly and soon you will feel the weightlessness of a bird.
Flight
As you take off, your pilot will guide you on how to settle into the harness so you can relax, feel comfortable, and fully enjoy the flight ant the breathtaking views.
During the flight you will not only be able to live a lifelong experience. You can also take the best images and videos to share with yours of this paragliding adventure in Medellín.

The tandem paraglider we use is designed to support the weight of two people who are attached by two separate harnesses to the wing and to the reserve parechute. Our pilots are certified by Colombian Federation of Aerial suscribed to the International Aeronautical Federation (FAI). They have basic English in order to ensure your comfort during the flight.
Weather
Medellin’s sunny weather and blue skies make it ideal for flying almost every day of the year. However, we put your safety first, meaning we occasionally cancel or postpone flights due to bad weather.

All our pilots are certified by FEDEAEREOS (Colombian Federation of Aerial Sports) with a safe pilot record. Trained and chosen by our director RubenFly ensuring with them a commitment to safety and the good enjoyment of our activity.

What is paramotor?
Paramotor is a paragliding flight that uses a small backpack motor to help propel you further, or take off from low ground, like a beach. To experience the joy of paramotoring, you must first complete a paramotor course. Note: it is not required to have any paragliding experience to complete the paramotor course. However, we only offer this course in Cartagena, because the beach provides an easier learning environment than the mountains of Medellin.
The course requires 5 hours of theory and 20 hours of practice to receive a certificate. You also must participate in a 20 minute tandem flight and ten solo flights. If you are interested in learning paramotor in Cartagena, please see our courses page for more information!
